Sebastian Madsen: "We wrote 'Die Letzten' after a night of drinking at the Deichbrand Festival. And then somehow we forgot it. When our current album "Lichtjahre" came out, we remembered that the song should be on top of it. It will probably take a while until the next studio album, so the song just comes as a bonus to our upcoming live album. It is also our counterpart to the current Christmas sentimentalism and may serve as a guide to behave extremely badly at Christmas parties."

Founded in 2004 in the tranquil Prießeck in Wendland, the three MADSEN brothers Johannes (guitar), Sebastian (vocals, guitar, lyrics) and Sascha (drums) and their friend Niko Maurer (bass) quickly became one of the most successful German rock bands. They have released eight albums, of which the last seven entered the top 10 of the official German album charts. No one has counted exactly how many hundred shows they played during that time. MADSEN were too busy filling the big halls and playing as a permanent guest at all German festivals.

With their unparalleled mix of distorted guitars, anthemic melodies and catchy German lyrics without any embarrassment, the band positions itself from the beginning in its own section, in which there are only MADSEN and where MADSEN can do everything they want. But they are loved by their fans, to whom MADSEN now wants to give something back: "We want to thank our fans with every show on our anniversary tour, toast to the past 15 years and are really looking forward to celebrating with them."
