Malist releases "As I Become Darkness"

Founded by Ovfrost in 2017 in Moscow, Russia, MALIST is a Black Metal solo-project that combines the boisterous grit of the second wave classics with modern melodic and atmospheric elements.

Albums 1-3 form a conceptual trilogy. "Karst Relict" completes this trilogy of the Karst Realm and the path of a nameless hero through its vast nether halls and mountain hollows.

Powerful riffs, melodic layering, diverse vocals & atmospheric elements are trademarks of Malist’s sound since day one, and while the music has developed a lot since the debut, these same elements are very much apparent on the 4th album, too. And yet it is another leap forward, propelling Malist into harsher, more unforgiving territories, befitting the darkness that is expressed by the lyrics.

”As I Become Darkness” spits on the filthy godhood-aspiring rulers of men who encroach on human flesh, manipulate the weak and stigmatize whole nations. It is an exploration of war, existence and death. A personal, grim journey drenched in misanthropy, this album presents a darker side of Malist than ever heard before.
