María Mazote releases their fourth music video

One of Chilean pop rock revelation bands of 2023, María Mazote, releases their fourth music video. This time, for the song ‘Entre Fantasmas’, which features the classic voice of Los Ángeles Negros, Germaín de la Fuente. A work full of symbols, emotion and melancholy that portray the musical and visual essence that identify the artistic proposal of the quartet.

Born in 2019 and interrupted by the forced halt of the pandemic, María Mazote jumped onto the field with enormous impetus, releasing five singles in ten months since March of last year. Three of them already had their respective high-quality music videos. The one for ‘Entre Fantasmas’ continues this saga and exclusively includes this emblematic figure of Latin American music. “This song is inspired by Los Ángeles Negros and once recorded, we decided to contact Germaín to show it to him. After his positive reaction, we invited him to be part of it in the format of a “reciting” of a verse and acting in this audiovisual recording, to which he also gladly agreed,” explains Christian Pérez, guitarist and voice of the band, who sings all the melodic lines of this piece.

The band is completed by Alejandro Fuentes on bass, Ivano Valenzuela on drums and Diego Silva on guitar, closing a perfect square of rock with modern elements of popular music and, at the same time, with a sound that does not abandon the organic and challenging nature of electric guitars. Chords that come together to support a message with a particular vision of society and culture as inhabitants of today's world in which love, power relations and urban folklore give life to hundreds of stories that inspire their poetry.

The music video for ‘Entre Fantasmas’ was directed by Álvaro Muñoz and also features the performance of the performing artist and dancer, Milena Bralic. The song was recorded at El Gran Pez studios under the production and mixing of Claudio Quiñones.
