Marie Dahlstrom and Jords unite for new single 'Alive' & new live shows in London and Copenhagen announced

UK R&B mainstay Marie Dahlstrom unites with London's Jords for new single 'Alive'. Today Dahlstrom also announces her return to the live stage, with two new headline shows confirmed in London (8th October) and Copenhagen (13 October). Produced by Yogic (Summer Walker, ENNY), 'Alive' is the second glimpse of a new project from the Roskilde-born, London-based vocalist, songwriter and producer - following February single 'Frostbite'.

Built on a hazy, sunlit groove, 'Alive' pairs Dahlstrom’s featherlight vocal with loose guitars and mellow keys, before opening out to meet Jords’ grounded, rhythmic verse.

On the release of 'Alive', Marie Dahlstrom said: "'Alive' is a song about erasing doubt, and reaffirming your love. It was recorded at my home studio - Yogic sent the beat over, and I had it for a while, before I managed to finish the verses. The chorus came first. When I finally finished it, I thought rap would be a nice touch for this song. Jords and I were already fans of each other, so it became the perfect moment for that collaboration."

In recent years, Dahlstrom has quietly built one of contemporary R&B’s most trusted catalogues - rooted in neo-soul, jazz and understated groove - recognised across Billboard, NPR, Complex, COLORS, NYLON, The Line Of Best Fit, TRENCH, Wonderland and beyond.

From her 2020 debut album 'Like Sand' through to 2023’s 'A Good Life', she’s cultivated a glowing reputation, drawing praise from BBC 1Xtra tastemakers across the board and US cultural co-signs including repeated recognition on The Joe Budden Podcast, alongside collaborations with Odeal, Jay Prince, Kofi Stone and Braxton Cook, and culminating in a sold-out headline show at London’s Village Underground marking the release of her most recent album.

New singles 'Alive' and 'Frostbite' set the tone for what comes next from Dahlstrom - reinforcing her place among contemporary R&B's most distinctive voices, while hinting at a broader, deeper body of work to follow.
