Mass Minor - 'Nowhere Now' : new single by US darkwave and electronic rock project out 31st July 2026 (Metropolis Records) | from album out in November 2026

Mass Minor is an Austin, Texas-based darkwave and electronic rock project led by Andrew J. Martin, Jr.. Blending atmospheric synths and driving guitars into cinematic songwriting, Martin also draws from post-punk, synth-pop and alternative rock influences to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly modern.

Having self-issued the debut album 'Become Each Other’ in 2020, followed by several singles collected together on digital EPs, Mass Minor has maintained a consistent presence in the dark alternative scene via local radio support, multiple SXSW appearances and performances alongside groups such as Twin Tribes, Ultra Sunn, TRAITRS, Vision Video, Urban Heat and Sacred Skin.

Mass Minor recently signed to Metropolis Records and has released a brand new single today entitled ‘Nowhere Now'. Pulsating synth-bass and distorted bass guitar initially anchor the song before electric guitar is introduced and propels the song as it builds in intensity. “This song explores the tension between who we are and who we've convinced ourselves we should be,” explains Martin. “It is centred around the recurring lyric ‘What if what we're fighting for was never really ours to hold?’ and examines self-deception, transformation and the difficult process of letting go.”

Balancing introspective lyricism with an anthemic sense of release, ‘Nowhere Now’ serves as both a powerful standalone statement as well as an introduction to themes explored throughout Mass Minor's second album, ‘Beyond the Edge of Reason’, which is scheduled for release in early November.
