MassattacK resurface after 40 years with CD reissue of raw 1985 demo “Late Arrival”
Dutch heavy metal cult act MassattacK return with the official reissue of their wild 1985 demo Late Arrival, out now on CD via Headbangers Records and Big Bad Wolf Records—accompanied by an AI-generated video clip made from original archive photos, now streaming on YouTube
Formed in 1982 in Noordwijk, South Holland, MassattacK delivered a frenetic mix of fast-paced heavy metal and unfiltered madness—what they themselves called “mad metal.” The band's 11-track demo Late Arrival was recorded in 1985 and gained notoriety through the single “Suicide”, which earned 'Demo of the Week' honors on Vara's Vuurwerk, a prominent Dutch radio show, in 1987.
Combining humour, aggression, and punk energy, MassattacK built a local following and became the first band to ever perform at SCUM in Katwijk. After disbanding in 1988, the band briefly returned in the 1990s and left behind more unreleased material.
