Matroda Unveils New Four-Track EP ‘HARD TO EXPLAIN’ on Insomniac Records

Built around Matroda’s instinct for combining club-ready grooves with melodic and textural detail, ‘HARD TO EXPLAIN’ showcases the producer’s versatility across four original tracks. The EP arrives following his recent single “I Need Your Lovin”, released earlier this month on Insomniac Records.

A standout moment on the project, “Nights With You” features understated artist SUDAKOV on a deep, late-night house cut with a cinematic ’80s edge and raw modern club aesthetic. A hypnotic low-register vocal hook anchors the track as smoky verses unfold over shimmery after-hours synths, warm piano chords and a prominent bassline that moves throughout its sultry groove.

Over the last several years, Matroda has built his catalog on Insomniac Records spanning original singles, remixes, VIPs and collaborative releases. His tracks “Forget It”, “Saturday Love”, and “Gimme Some Keys” on the label have each surpassed 25M streams.

‘HARD TO EXPLAIN’ arrives while Matroda wraps up the North American leg of his Summer Tour, which has included stops at HARD Summer, Beyond Wonderland PNW, Sun Soaked, Shambhala, Das Energi, and Elements Festival, plus club dates at Club Space, LIV Beach Club, Wall Street Plaza, FWD Nightclub, Concourse Project, Cabana, Malkin Bowl, and Harrah's Pool, along with his ‘Matroda Day & Night NYC Marathon’ at The Ruins at Knockdown Center.
