French duo MOAAN EXIS continue to push their abrasive mix of industrial electronics, metal, punk and hardcore with Unpredictable.

Based in Toulouse, the band combine programmed electronics, distorted synth textures, pounding percussion and aggressive vocals into a sound that sits somewhere between industrial metal, cyberpunk atmosphere and confrontational live noise. Across five tracks, Unpredictable keeps a constant sense of tension, moving through mechanical rhythms, bursts of violence and darker electronic passages.

The first four tracks maintain the EP’s aggressive direction, while the closing instrumental “Oracle” slows the pace down, with the band describing it as a more cinematic and mental piece that closes the record from a different angle.

MOAAN EXIS have spent the last years building a reputation through intense live performances across Europe, appearing at festivals including Brutal Assault, Resistanz Festival, Wave Gotik Treffen, Infest Festival and Hellsinki Industrial Festival. Their track “On Fire” was also selected for the soundtrack of the cyberpunk video game The Ascent.
