Moby announces charity beneficiaries for EU tour & announces Lady Blackbird as support
As previously announced, all proceeds from the shows will be distributed among local and global organizations.
Today, on the latest episode of his podcast “Moby Pod,” musician and activist Moby announced the charities that will be the recipients of the proceeds from his upcoming European tour, with several soldout dates already, in September with support from Lady Blackbird. As previously announced, Moby is donating all of his profits from the shows to animal rights charities. Along with financial support, Moby has offered spaces at the venues where the charities will be allowed to sell merchandise and distribute information about what they do.
Last month, Moby shared his critically acclaimed album always centered at night featuring 13 collaborators. Plus, besides the twelve local organizations, Moby is also including two global organizations, EarthPercent and The Jane Goodall Institute.
In Belgium, all proceeds will go to the following organisations:
GAIA (Global Action in the Interest of Animals) is the most influential and one of the best-known animal rights organisations in Belgium. "We believe that animals should also be treated with respect and have the right to a dignified existence. We advocate a relationship between humans and animals that is characterised by humanity and justice."
ProVeg Belgium is part of ProVeg International, the first international organization that specifically focuses on plant-based food. By 2040, we want to halve the global consumption of animal products.
Vegan Brussels aims to partner with gastronomers and culinary innovators on an exciting journey toward introducing and expanding vegan options in restaurants.
The tour will feature his greatest hits, including classics such as “Porcelain,” “Natural Blues” and “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?”, taken from the album Play which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and has sold over 12 million copies worldwide, winning numerous awards and becoming the biggest-selling electronic album of all time.

He has been a vegan and vegan activist for 35 years and last year released his directorial debut Punk Rock Vegan Movie via his production company Little Walnut, a passionate and stylistically idiosyncratic look at the ongoing relationship between the worlds of punk rock and animal rights.
