Mondo Generator releases "We Stand Against You"

MONDO GENERATOR was formed in 1997 by Nick Oliveri, also known for founding the legendary stoner rock band Kyuss and playing in Queens of the Stone Age. Initially intended as a solo/side project, the classic "Cocaine Rodeo" album was recorded that same year, but shelved until Southern Lord Records released its unique brand of criminal insanity to widespread acclaim and horror in the summer of 2000. Following several full-lengths, EPs and a live DVD, a solo acoustic career and heavy touring schedules with Kyuss Lives!, Vista Chino and Mondo Generator, Nick Oliveri signed to European label Heavy Psych Sounds in 2017 for the release of a series of Oliveri vocal-fronted recordings titled "N.O. Hits At All" as well as the "The Best Of Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator".

Since its inception, MONDO GENERATOR has welcomed contributions from notable members of the Californian rock scene over the years such as Josh Homme, Dave Catching, Brant Bjork, Dave Grohl or Joey Castillo. The lineup officially stabilized in 2018 around Nick Oliveri on bass and vocals, Mike Pygmie on guitars (who joined in 2012) and Mike Amster on drums, and has been relentlessly unleashing their rock'n'roll wrath on international stages since then.

Quick rewind back to 2020: the world had suddenly come to an end while the band just hit Europe to present their first album in eight years, "Fuck It". Live scenes across the globe got put into an artificial coma for a mere two years, yet the raw power of that vibrant 14-tracker resonated so strongly with the fans that revenge needed to be taken. Three years later, the hard-working trio returns louder and fiercer than ever, amped up by countless shows across Europe and North America. Get ready for their next sonic misdemeanor "We Stand Against You", to be unleashed this October 13th on Heavy Psych Sounds. About the new album, Nick Oliveri says: “We Stand Against You is nine songs of fire, fury and angst! Some of the songs reflect my personal thoughts, some are about family and close friends dying or committing suicide and some are about my experience with the Corona lockdowns. This is a record of real emotion and not for the weak."
