Montreal-based singer-songwriter Guilhem announces new album A Good One out september 5
Montreal-based singer/songwriter Guilhem is set to release his deeply personal and emotionally charged new album, A GOOD ONE, on September 5, 2025. Known for his raw lyricism, infectious melodies, and high-energy punk spirit, Guilhem has built a global following through tireless touring and unflinching honesty—both onstage and off.
With over 700 shows across 23 countries under his belt, Guilhem’s music bridges the intimate and the explosive. From his solo efforts to fronting the punk outfit Lost Love, he’s developed a signature blend of vulnerability and vigor that resonates across genres and borders.
“I didn’t really plan to write a cohesive album,” Guilhem explains. “At first, it was just a bunch of songs I needed to get out of my system. But somewhere along the way, it all started orbiting the same messy little galaxy of thoughts: the absurdity of being human right now.”
Mixed and mastered by acclaimed artist Frank Turner, A GOOD ONE captures that chaos with clarity. It’s an album for anyone who’s ever felt burnt out, overwhelmed, or like they’re just barely holding it together. Across tracks that wrestle with anxiety, small talk, hangovers, self-doubt, and the digital noise of modern life, Guilhem never loses sight of one thing: hope.
The rollout began with the cathartic first single, “Die Quietly”(released May 2), followed by the anthemic “Don’t Surrender”(June 13), and continues with “Hangover Cure” arriving August 8—complete with a new music video.
“There’s no grand solution here. No clean redemption arc,” Guilhem says. “But there is a desire to do better, to connect, and to laugh at the chaos a little more often. Every song is a small act of resistance against apathy, shame, and the urge to disappear.”
A GOOD ONE is Guilhem’s most personal and powerful work to date—an album that doesn’t shy away from the mess, but sings right through it.
