Written by Wade and White via Zoom during COVID, “Old History” finds its narrator wishing they could paint like Van Gogh, write like Shakespeare, or compose like Mozart, all in an effort to never become old history. With gritty, raw harmonies backed by stunning lyricism, the ballad begs the question: what does it take to become unforgettable?
“‘Old History’ means so much to me. John Paul and I have been holding onto this one since 2020 when we wrote it on Zoom,” said Wade. “I’m so excited that we finally found the right moment to put it out there. Hope y’all love it.”
