Mortifer Rage releases "Plagues Requiem"
Mortifer Rage, the Brazilian death metal band known for their intense and technical sound, release today their new album "Plagues Requiem". Forged in fury and obscurity, this album is a powerful opposition and legacy of hatred against the lethargy of a twisted and sick society, highlighting themes of human manipulation and hypocrisy across 11 hard-hitting tracks.
While not a concept album, "Plagues Requiem" addresses the horrors of what became known as the Brazilian Holocaust, especially in the song "The Holocaust of Madness" and its cover art. This dark period involved torture, shocks, lobotomy, sale of corpses, and social discrimination against marginalized groups, a reality now exposed in the Museum of Madness in Barbacena, Minas Gerais, Brazil
