Mustii releases new album 'THE MAZE' | out 06/12
After ‘21st Century Boy’ (2018) and ‘It's Happening Now’ (2022), Mustii unveils ‘THE MAZE’, his third album to be released on 6 December 2024. 11 tracks that allow him to refocus on his own life, on his experiences and to reveal his personal commitment.
"I imagine this album as a metaphor for a long night of partying, from the pre-party to the after-party, with its ups and downs, the euphoria and then the downfall. 'THE MAZE' is the name of the club inside which the night unfolds, with its experiences, discoveries and extremes. 'THE MAZE' is undoubtedly also a metaphor for my mind, for the byways I take, the back and forth, the reassurance of my sexuality and the creation of a new family; the queer and underground world which is often full of flaws and scars but also full of life, love and fire’.
'THE MAZE' is filled with references, from glam and joyously decadent Studio 54 to Grace Jones and Bowie... It's also an album that plays with homoerotic codes and an ode to hedonism — to enjoy oneself, to regain control and to be as free as possible, so as in the mythological figure of the labyrinth, various paths are taken, and various genres cohabit (from new wave to beat techno, from pop to postpunk via rock).
