Mychelle Releases Debut Album “Good Day” 

Today, London-born singer-songwriter Mychelle unveils her long-awaited debut album, "Good Day", released via FAMM—the acclaimed label home to Maverick Sabre and Jorja Smith.

A project steeped in personal evolution, "Good Day" is Mychelle’s sonic farewell to the shadows of her past. “It’s my way of saying goodbye to the chapters in my life that created bad days,” she reflects. “Each time I walked out of the studio with one of these songs, I felt those bad days transforming into something good.”

This release crowns a breakthrough year for Mychelle earning praise for singles like ‘Sweet Nothings’, ‘You Don’t Care About Me’, and ‘Seasons’. This summer, she’ll also appear alongside Jorja Smith on her UK tour and perform at major festivals, including Across The Tracks and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.

Mychelle has also announced her European and UK headline tour, bringing the soulful spirit of her long-awaited album "Good Day" to stages across the continent this September. The 10-date tour will see Mychelle perform in France, the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK, offering fans the chance to experience her deeply personal music in an intimate live setting.

"Good Day" marks a defining moment for Mychelle as she steps into her own with quiet confidence and clarity. More than just a collection of songs, the album reflects her growth, strength, and creative vision. Highlights include ‘A Little Bit More’, written during a time of self-realization, and ‘Close Enough’, a track shaped by persistence through writer’s block. The title track, ‘Good Day’, transforms a low moment into something uplifting—a theme that echoes throughout the album. Collaborating with producers like Dom Valentino, Tom Henry, Fred Cox, and others, Mychelle weaves vulnerability and resilience into a powerful, personal journey.

More about Mychelle

Born and raised in London, Mychelle grew up in a home filled with music. The middle of three sisters, all drawn to singing and performing, she picked up a guitar at age 10, only to set it aside until 17, when she found her way back to it. Encouraged by mentors in school and university, she found an early kindred spirit in a close friend, with whom she formed her first girl group in her early years.

Mychelle was driven to pursue music but had one obstacle to overcome: shyness. Instead of shying away, she chose the boldest path: busking. Her raw, soulful performances became part of London’s streets for over four years, turning the city into her training ground and stage. Then, one day at London Bridge, fate stepped in, and her talent caught the attention of FAMM, the label that would go on to sign her. The rest, as they say, is history.

Busking didn’t just refine Mychelle’s artistry; it became her rehearsal space, proving ground and the force that helped her shed her fears. As she steps into a new chapter, she remains deeply connected to everything that fuels her, whether on the football field, basketball court, running track, or, most importantly, the stage. A fierce competitor in music and life, Mychelle continues to push her boundaries, driven by the same passion that sparked her journey.

With a growing discography, including standout EPs like Closure (2021), Someone Who Knows (2022), It’s Not You, It’s Me (2023), and the stripped-back Me & Gaz (2024), Mychelle continues to carve out her space in the industry. Her collaboration with ENNY on “Forbidden Fruit” (from Someone Who Knows) remains a fan favourite with close to 2.5 million plays, proving that her storytelling and soulful delivery resonate deeply. Mychelle has graced stages at the Montreux Jazz Festival (CH), George Ezra and Friends, Boardmasters, Deer Shed, Into the Great Wide Open (NL), and Michael Kiwanuka's tour support. Beyond music, she embraces movement and adventure, bringing an ever-enthusiastic energy to everything she does.
