NBX, the new project from youtuber Nico Borie

Nico Borie has launched ‘EVOLUCIÓN’ (Evolution), the first single from his new musical project, NBX. This new venture serves as an alter ego for the Chilean musician, officially marking a new chapter in his artistic career. The track, built on powerful guitars and an introspective message, offers a reflection on personal growth, inviting the listener to break negative mental patterns and adopt a forward-thinking mentality.

‘Evolución’ serves as the first taste of the sound and identity NBX aims to consolidate: an energetic, direct rock with honest lyrics, capable of transmitting strength and motivation. “Something I've learned after years of translating songs is the personal connection the listener makes with the lyrics. With my own songs, I seek to reclaim precisely what makes Rock so special: it connects with our deepest sensitivities”, comments Nico Borie. “We can be suffering something terrible, but it always fills us with energy, makes us expel that sorrow or rage, and makes us jump and shout even when we feel like we're on the floor. That motivational capacity this music has is what inspired me to write EVOLUCIÓN and the other songs coming on the album”.

NBX was born in 2024 under the direction of Nico Borie, renowned for his "Rock Traducido" (Rock Translated) work, where he performs Spanish versions of rock classics, amassing over 2 million followers across his digital platforms. The project's sound is marked by powerful vocals, high-energy guitars, and synthesizers, lending a contemporary air to the style.

The NBX project features a collaboration with Bastián Basaure, a guitarist and musical producer with whom Borie is co-writing the songs for NBX's debut album, “Limina”. The album is scheduled for release in early 2026 via the BZR record label. The rest of the lineup consists of the musicians who accompany Borie in “Rock Traducido”: Darío Llancamán (bass), Kagno (lead guitar), and Álvaro Poblete (drums).

NBX represents the next chapter in Nico Borie's trajectory following his departure from the thrash metal band Parasyche in 2023. The project made its live debut on October 19, 2025, opening for the Japanese band SiM at the Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile.
