Nectar Woode releases "it's like I never left"

British-Ghanaian soul singer Nectar Woode is the voice of this summer. With her brand new EP “it’s like I never left”, she delivers a warm blend of soul, jazz and deeply personal stories about identity and heritage.

In the past, she collaborated with Jordan Rakei and Ghana’s SuperJazzClub, and recently appeared on Later... with Jools Holland. This week, she gave a stunning performance at Gent Jazz Festival, where she also met her idol Norah Jones. Elton John is a fan too, saying she “reminds him of Nina Simone.” Another reference that is never far away, is Lianne La Havas.

Nectar Woode previously lit up stages at Glastonbury, Love Supreme, and supported The Teskey Brothers. Her music radiates warmth, depth, and an irresistible groove.
