New bands and 1 cancellation for Summer Breeze

Unfortunately Black Label Society have cancelled their gig at SUMMER BREEZE 2017: "Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, BLS will not be able to perform at SUMMER BREEZE Open Air.”

Luckily a few new bands were also announce in February:

Eisregen: Morbid since the beginning of their career. And original. And that for over 20 years already!

We're obviously talking about EISREGEN, who are among your and many other people's favourites. Although the Thuringians have been doing this for a long time, they managed to gain some chart success, as well as build an ever-growing fanbase. Countless gripping live shows also contributed to this, so one can say without a doubt that their musical stubbornness (meant in the positive sense) has largely paid off for this extreme metal crossover group. So you can look forwards to another great show by Blutkehle & Co. in Dinkelsbühl 2017, filled with numerous classics. We're sure EISREGEN won't leave you out in the rain.

Xandria: Exactly ten years ago the following confirmed band was last seen at SUMMER BREEZE, which makes XANDRIA's appearance in Dinkelsbühl 2017 a small anniversary in itself...

But Germany's symphonic metallers have by no means been inactive in the last decade, which works in your favour now: XANDRIA are able to present you top epic material from three albums which has never been played at SUMMER BREEZE yet. The focus, however, will undoubtedly lie on the brand new album 'Theater Of Dimensions', which is already being praised as a multifaceted Gesamtkunstwerk. Metalheads who like it symphonic and bombastic should mark the XANDRIA show at SUMMER BREEZE in red in their calendars.

Belphegor: It's going to get dark and evil in August, veeery dark: BELPHEGOR are coming to Dinkelsbühl with a special ritual show!

As if the grim compositions of the Austrian noisemakers weren't hard enough, Helmuth and cohorts will also reach for the extreme visually. With a class A pyro show, the guys will open the gates of hell at SUMMER BREEZE. Insiders are even speculating that BELPHEGOR could have new material ready in August, but even with the old black death metal classics they will beat you to a pulp. Look forward to a massive display of music and stage show, like only Salzburg's BELPHEGOR can offer!

Overkill: Hello from the gutter! Finally! At long last they're coming to SUMMER BREEZE in Dinkelsbühl: We're obviously talking about thrash metal icons OVERKILL!

Hailing from the East Coast of the USA, for decades they have ranked among the best live bands in the thrash genre; not to mention their role in the evolution of the thrash scene in general! Blitz and his boys enjoy cult status, and much deservedly so. For decades they kept touring like clockwork, released album after album and didn't let anyone or anything bring them down. And we're glad they didn't, because that attitude has not only given us countless fantastic shows and great records, it also ensured that, during the thrash drought, you could at least count on the East Coast thrashers to deliver. Nowadays they are getting the recognition they deserve for their perseverance, are stronger than ever live and will finally make it to Dinkelsbühl. For our birthday, no less! We are mad with anticipation, and we hope you are, too! We feel the fire! Do you?!

Architects: They like to explore the extremes of metalcore between technical excursions and complex song structures on the one hand, and highly catchy melodies and anthemic choruses on the other: From Brighton, England, ARCHITECTS!

Then is it mathcore, metalcore or even post hardcore what they play? Well, it shouldn't really matter to us, what matters is that ARCHITECTS find their way across the channel all the way to Dinkelsbühl. Fact is, with their previous studio albums ARCHITECTS have carved their very own niche in the overpopulated metalcore scene, an accomplishment that has seen other formations sink with flying colours. Herewith, a high incidence of coloured band shirts, sweaty bodies and boiling pits is guaranteed when ARCHITECTS take to the stage of SUMMER BREEZE. Have fun!

Betontod: Even though they are true anti-rockstars, punk rockers BETONTOD are regulars in the German Top Ten. And rightfully so!

German sung rock and punk music has been on the rise in the last few years, and BETONTOD are certainly among the best of their kind. However, the guys from Rheinberg didn't get successful by chance, as they have played their arses off since the beginning, having played their 1,000th concert last December. Congratulations! This way we can expect a super tight live band at SUMMER BREEZE 2017, who will not only present material from their brand new top 3 album 'Revolution', but will also make you mosh and sing along with older hits...
