New confirmations for Summer Breeze
Summer Breeze has added some new bands to their line-up:
Black Stone Cherry
Southern rock at SUMMER BREEZE? Sure, why not, at the end of the day Dinkelsbühl is in Southern Germany! So let's give a warm welcome to BLACK STONE CHERRY!
Hailing from the state of Kentucky, the band managed to sell a six-digit figure of their 2006 debut out of nowhere, and is since then being handled as one of the leading exponents of this style. Their music combines influences of southern rock, classic rock, a little blues, grunge and stoner, with loads of hooks and plenty of hit potential. This will make all those happy who have something by Lynyrd Skynyrd or Led Zeppelin, Black Label Society, ZZ Top or Pearl Jam in their record collection. You see, this is all about honest, down-to-earth rock; biker compatible, sraddle-legged, whiskey-infused, manly. But female guests are obviously invited to check them out too.
Eisregen
They are true cult, because there's no other band in the scene combining black metal, dark metal, violins, electronic elements and macabre, thought-provoking lyrics in such a morbid, original manner.
Hordes of followers from all walks of metal, top 40 positions in the German charts with several of their eleven studio albums (if we already count 'Marschmusik', which will be released during SUMMER BREEZE 2015) and a few selected, but not less captivating live shows make one thing clear: EISREGEN is one of the most exceptional acts we've had the chance to book for our festival. We are happy to announce that this German cult band will again make a stop in Dinkelsbühl. Get ready for loads of 'Stage Blood' ('Bühnenblut', the title of one of their live albums), when the Thuringians set the pace for a musical metal march, as announced by their new album title.
Betrayng The Martyrs
BETRAYING THE MARTYRS are a great example of how to take the wind out of the sails of all deathcore critics who like to belittle and ridicule this genre all too quickly.
These Frenchmen are far from sticking one uninspired breakdown after another and screaming everything into the ground. These elements are obviously present in their sound, but that's not all. A little djent excursion here, wonderfully melodic clear vocals there, a completely unexpected epic moment around the corner, a full-on riff attack the next minute. Therefore, those who dismiss these Parisians as dumb deathcore are doing them and a whole genre a disservice, because, besides the de rigeur flexing of their riff muscles, they always have room for a clever songwriting idea. And it is the abundance of these that gives BETRAYING THE MARTYRS an exceptional status within the scene. Have fun at their SUMMER BREEZE premiere!
Majesty
A band that names their debut album 'Keep It True' ventures onto thin ice. Can you honour such a statement throughout your whole career? In the case of MAJESTY, the answer is a resounding yes!
Hailing from Baden-Württemberg's Lauda, home of the long-running Keep It True festival, which has frontman Tarek as part of its organising team, the band lives, breathes and bleeds true heavy metal. Where Manowar have long lost their credibility, MAJESTY have kept their feet on the floor, providing their fan base with new anthems of steel again since 2013, after a lengthy hiatus, the kind of songs that DeMaio & Co. will probably never write again. And on their recent tour supporting Powerwolf one could tell that they have also struck a nerve with the younger metal generation, when a sea of devil horns greeted them night after night.
