Helen Townsend's musical journey ignited amidst the melodies of backyard BBQs, where her sister and friends strummed guitars and harmonized when she was just 12 years old. Although her musical pursuits were put on hold for a long time, a transformative backpacking trip through the UK reignited her passion. There, she found solace in journaling and began to experiment with guitar chords. Despite a pause for motherhood, Helen's move to Fremantle, WA in 2009 sparked a creative resurgence. Encircled by a supportive artistic community, she fully embraced her love for music. In 2015, she made her first mark with the release of her debut EP, earning acclaim with multiple nominations at the West Australian Music Awards (WAM) and recognition at the Boyup Brook Country Music Awards, and has never looked back.
