New Single & Video: RED ON 'Ordinary Ghosts' feat. Point No Point

"Ordinary Ghosts" atypically stays under four minutes and, with the engaging voice of Jana Sotzko (Soft Grid, Point No Point, Halfsilks), is more of a krauty indie song than a piece of experimental electronic. She sings "If you believe in the future, you might as well believe in all of this here" and leaves us alone with our ghosts somewhere between a euphoric hope and dystopia. Around that mainly drums (of course) and a familiar bunch of Red On's instrumentation: rhodes, tape echo, guitar, claps and drones. Warm, melancholic, eerie – more Red On than ever. A loud Krautrock posse, a jazz trio, or very concentrated noise music.

The project Red On by label maker, producer and DJ Philipp Roth remains in constant change. Recently, the focus has been more on interdisciplinary collaborations and larger live set ups – with VJ Subrihanna, for example. Image and sound as a shared experience, exploring the boundaries between club, pop music and audiovisual installation. The new single finally marks the release of new studio material from the album "Drums," which will be out in October 2021.
