new Subbacultcha! magazine 'the wastelands issue' is out now

For the third year in a row, we’ve chosen to roam the worldwide sonic wasteland in search of some of the most exciting acts around and bring them together for a day to remember. On our Wastelands Festival at 019, Ghent on August 09th you’ll be able to shake it to Mykki Blanco’s bouncy tunes, cool it down to the sound of Amen Dunes’ fuzzy folk ballads and so much more.

Of course, our summer magazine is the ideal way to get all pumped for the big day. Elusive London producer patten shared his thoughts on magic and what it means to be alive, Amen Dunes' Damon McMohan told us about the ultimate devotional love, punk mentality and Japanese aesthetics. Kelly De Block took some sleeker than sleek pictures of black raven Slobster and Palmistry offered us a mysterious sneak peek at his coming video clip.

Because your ideal summer is our mission, we've put together a special festival overview. And, as usual, we threw in some unmissable recommendations, ranging from DJ Marfox, to Spooky Black's sensual voice and online art magazine 'Phases'.
