New Zealand Synth-Pop duo, Imugi 이무기 Feature On Kraak & Smaak's 'Sommeron'

Dutch three-piece, Kraak & Smaak have coined their own fresh take on tripped out, electronic music laced with West Coast vibrations. As the release of their new album ‘Pleasure Centre’ fast approaches, they present album track ‘Sommeron', teaming up with New Zealand based synth-pop duo Imugi 이무기.

Yery Cho and Carl Ruwhiu, aka duo Imugi 이무기, have gone from strength to strength in recent years. Collaborating since high school, singer-songwriter Yery and producer Carl released their first EP Vacasian in 2017, before single ‘Greensmoke’ gained them particular recognition from global platform, VICE, upon its release last year. Imugi 이무기 bring a breath of youthfulness and underground, raw techniques to single ‘Sommeron’.

Radiating lustful synths and enchanting vocals, ‘Sommeron’ holds strong funk and disco elements deeply rooted within the Kraak & Smaak sound. Continuing to carry strong hints of the West Coast, heard across previous releases ‘Don’t Want This To Be Over’ and ‘Same Blood’ featuring ‘The Palms’, ‘Sommeron’ is set to further cement strong approval for the forthcoming album project.
