Bravelord returns with 'Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now'
Following the release of his conceptual album “The Power From The End Of The World”, where he recounted an epic fantasy tale inspired by classic power metal, Bravelord surprises with a completely different turn in his career. This time, the project led by Chilean musician Rodrigo Bravo sets aside swords and battles to present ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’, an emotional take on the Starship classic, performed alongside his wife, Mariangélica Moreno.
“I heard this song for the first time when I watched the movie “Mannequin” and it immediately got stuck in my head. When I decided to make this cover EP, it was definitely a song that had to be included... and recording it with my family was a beautiful experience,” says Rodrigo Bravo.
The track displays a much more personal side of the musician, something that is also reflected on the single's artwork, where both appear together in a nod to the film. Furthermore, the recording includes a very special touch: towards the end, the voices of Diego, their son, can be heard, turning this release into a true family endeavor.
‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’ will be featured on “A Chance”, an upcoming EP that will gather various songs holding a deep meaning for the artist. Among them will be ‘Remember’, a composition from Tamerlán, Rodrigo Bravo's former band; as well as the title track, which stands as a heartfelt tribute to composer David Hanus, better known as Barroquejón, who passed away a few years ago.
“David showed me ‘A Chance’ when it didn't even have a formal title. It was a song dedicated to a girl he liked, but it was just a short, minute-and-a-half track. After he passed away, I found the full version on the internet. Not only was I amazed by its quality, but I was deeply moved to have known a musical genius like David. This EP is a tribute to him and a way to show the world who he was,” Bravo concludes.
With this release, Bravelord opens a new artistic chapter, proving that behind the grand epic tales, there is also room for nostalgia, affection, and personal tributes, without losing the melodic essence that has defined the project since its inception.
