Nona Announces Third Album "Letters To My habits" and Shares Single "This Is All I'll Be"
Today, Nona announced her third album, Letters to My Habits. With her signature blend of soul, blues, rock, and pop, Nona once again proves why she is one of the most authentic voices in the Netherlands. The album will be released on March 20 via V2 Records and showcases her most personal and mature sound to date. After a period of silence, reflection, and a creative reset, she is embarking on a new chapter in her career.
Nona’s earlier work is characterized by a fuller, more produced sound, but this time she consciously chooses real instruments, warmth, and space. The new record is more organic: a blend of the liveliness of her debut and the personal depth of her second album, with a maturity that feels entirely new. On her third album, Letters to My Habits, her musical development truly comes into bloom, as she weaves together the experiences and insights she has gained over the past few years.
The album was recorded entirely in the studio of producer Gordon Groothedde. Over the course of nine months, Nona, Groothedde, and singer—and close friend—Loren worked on new music together. Both played an essential role in the creation of the album. Their collaboration goes beyond professional chemistry; it is a close friendship that allows for trust and honesty in the music. The use of live instrumentation was crucial in creating the desired authentic sound. Without these live elements, the album would not have carried the same emotional weight, and the music would not have sounded as pure and sincere. “You can hear the instruments. And you can hear me.”
Nona hopes that listeners will find support and relief in her music. She wants her songs not only to reflect her own emotions, but also to offer strength and a sense of recognition to others.
After several successful years, a new phase began for Nona. She stepped away from her collaboration with her previous label and management and moved to Denmark to be with her boyfriend. “Suddenly, I had to do everything on my own.” She rediscovered a different version of herself. This period of self-reflection, silence, and growth laid the foundation for a creative reset.
Back in the Netherlands, she begins this new chapter. Her personal development has translated into new work that is less polished, rawer, and more honest than ever before. She has reinvented herself in her own way and has returned stronger than ever. All in all, this new album is not only a musical milestone for Nona, but also a personal victory that reflects her journey toward self-acceptance and maturity.
After the release of Letters to My Habits, Nona will return to the stage. She is looking forward to seeing her fans live again and performing her new material, as well as older songs. Anyone who has seen her perform live understands why she is so beloved. Her shows are intense, sincere, and captivating, and she has a natural charm on stage.
