Oh Pray Tell return with their powerful new single “Come In,”
Kootenay, BC-based trio Oh Pray Tell return with their powerful new single “Come In,” a moving and deeply personal call for solidarity, reflection, and meaningful change. Blending roots, gospel, folk, acoustic R&B, and rich three-part harmonies, Sally Titasey, Shayna-Adjowa Jones, and Betty Supple have built a sound that brings together storytelling, resistance, and the power of collective voices. Written by Sally and Betty as they witnessed Wet’suwet’en hereditary leaders standing their ground to protect their ancestral lands and waters, “Come In” was born out of both outrage and a desire to listen, learn, and stand alongside Indigenous Land Defenders. “Through their grounded action, we recognized the ways our own lineages have become divorced from connection to place,” the group shares. “We recognized the ways we ourselves needed to come in, sit down, and listen to communities like the Wet’suwet’en who still carry this wisdom.” With lyrics like “same old story white man, stand down,” the song directly confronts the ongoing impacts of colonization, corporate exploitation, and the use of force against Indigenous communities. Yet at its heart, “Come In” is about more than resistance. As the group explains, “This song lives as both a battle cry of outrage and gentle invitation, beckoning those with oppressive power to lay down their weapons and come back to their own hearts.”
Accompanying the single is a powerful music video filmed on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Sinixt people in Nelson, BC, bringing together an inspiring collective of local Nelson and Slocan Valley artists, including Dana Lee, Rena Vee, Frase, Devon Ecru, Nella Banner of Creek St., Cece Klassen, Hampton G, L.A. Wheatley, Raven Clarkson, and Sarah Orton. Filmed by Independent Black Media and co-directed with Oh Pray Tell, the video extends the song’s message of community, accountability, and collective action, while the music itself was recorded live, mixed, and mastered by Alexander Marusyk. “We asked the questions, ‘What can we offer to this fight?’ and ‘What can we do to support the work of these brave and righteous Land Defenders?’ This song came through. Line by line,” the group reflects. Originally formed in 2015 by lifelong collaborators Betty Supple and Sally Titasey, Oh Pray Tell evolved into a trio with the addition of spoken word artist Shayna-Adjowa Jones, whose presence has helped shape their distinctive and emotionally charged sound. Following their debut EP in February 2026, performances alongside JUNO-nominated PIQSIQ, and appearances at festivals and sold-out venues across British Columbia, the group is now working toward their first full-length album, expected in February 2027. With “Come In,” Oh Pray Tell offer a song that is as much an invitation to listen as it is a demand for change, reminding us that meaningful solidarity begins with humility, connection, and the willingness to stand up for one another.
