One Knob Per Function – Live Cuts album from 7XINS

Severn Electronics launches with One Knob Per Function from South Wales-born live hardware artist 7XINS.

This 17-track digital album and cassette release marks the end of a six-year period of raw, high-impact performances across Europe’s underground venues. Built entirely from hardware and recorded live in different locations, the tracks capture dissonant modular leads, distorted drum machines, and the pressure of the room. It’s rough, unpolished, and designed for full immersion.

There are no digital workstations here. No post-production polish. Just sweat, voltage, and total sonic control.

Known for his long-term residency at London’s FOLD and a background in mechanical engineering, 7XINS brings a uniquely physical approach to sound design—rigorous, precise, and fully embodied. The LP serves both as a closing statement for his live set era and the debut of his new label, Severn Electronics.
