A Thousand Sufferings released "Valley Of A Sun"
Rooted in Klein-Brabant, Belgium, A Thousand Sufferings have been active for years with a sound built around black metal, doom and deep melancholy. The band was shaped by the sudden passing of vocalist Tijl, after which the remaining members chose to continue, with PJ taking over vocals and Jurgen joining on guitar. Their debut album became a tribute to their late frontman, followed by Bleakness and later Stilte, released between 2019 and 2020.
Following recent line-up changes, with Wouter taking over on drums and Joan joining on bass, A Thousand Sufferings now return with Valley Of A Sun. The four-track EP takes songs by Zjef Vanuytsel, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy and Therapy? and strips them down to their core before rebuilding them in the band’s own sound.
Tracklist:
- De Zotte Morgen (Zjef Vanuytsel)
- Halo Of Flies (Alice Cooper)
- Jailbreak (Thin Lizzy)
- Stories (Therapy?)
