Ancient Malice releases "Worm Tongue"

The five-track release follows the band’s debut CD Accept the Vile Gifts of the Dead and keeps Ancient Malice close to the filth and chaos of late 80s death metal, crust and grindcore. The band’s sound comes from the same rough DIY world that shaped early demo culture: HM-2 dirt, blastbeats, slow rotten parts, grind bursts and the feeling of a band playing it live.

Worm Tongue was recorded with no click and no drop-ins, keeping the EP raw and loose in the right way. The songs draw from morbidity, depression, psychedelics and left-hand path occultism, while the music leans into the ugly energy of old Napalm Death, Repulsion, early Entombed, 80s Morbid Angel, Deicide and Terrorizer.
