Eskimo Recordings celebrates 25th anniversary with a 50-track compilation

The story of Eskimo Recordings began a quarter-century ago in the sweaty, avant-garde warehouse raves of Ghent’s legendary Eskimo Fabriek. It was here that local icons like The Flying Dewaele Brothers (Soulwax / 2manydjs) and The Glimmers tore up the traditional club rulebook. By blending disco, synth-pop, new wave, acid house, and rock into a cohesive, leftfield club language, they laid the foundation for what the world now knows as Belgian Indie Dance.

Eskimo quickly evolved into an internationally acclaimed independent powerhouse. Over the last two decades, the label has built an unimpeachable global footprint, widely praised by tastemakers for launching the careers of cosmic disco royaltyLindstrøm & Prins Thomas (releasing their seminal debut album in 2005) and electronic mainstays Aeroplane. Simultaneously, the label has kept its fingers on the pulse of modern electronic pop, recently championing highly acclaimed next-gen Belgian talent like the IMPALA-nominated duo Aili.
