Born in Germany and shaped by Berlin’s underground scene before relocating to London, Mimi Barks developed her sound through immersion in punk, hip hop, techno and metal culture. That refusal to belong to one world has become central to her identity. Since emerging, she has built a fiercely dedicated following across the UK and Europe, appearing at major festivals including Download Festival, Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock Open Air, Boomtown Fair and 2000trees Festival.

From her earliest releases through to her debut album, THIS IS DOOM TRAP , Mimi has consistently pushed deeper into the emotional weight of her music. Her 2025 reimagining of Linkin Parks 'Crawling' carried that same intensity, transforming the iconic track into something haunting, exposed and unmistakably her own.
