One of the defining moments of this year’s festival season has already arrived: Papa Roach surprised fans at Rock am Ring with a spectacular helicopter entrance ahead of their performance in front of approximately 90,000 attendees.

The cinematic arrival felt straight out of a summer action blockbuster, led by the cockroach-inspired, gas mask-wearing character featured in the artwork for the band’s current Rise Of The Roach tour. The dramatic entrance ignited excitement across the sold-out festival grounds and set the stage for an unforgettable performance.

Following the arrival, Papa Roach delivered a hit-packed set spanning their entire career, from INFEST era classics to the live debut of their explosive new single, “See U In Hell,” featured in Netflix’s animated series Devil May Cry. Since its release last month, the track has generated nearly 20 million streams, surpassing the performance of the band’s most successful recent releases.

Jacoby Shaddix shared on the experience:

“That moment was pure adrenaline. We’ve always believed rock shows should feel larger than life, and this was about creating a moment fans would never forget. The energy from that crowd was absolutely unreal.”

During the show, Shaddix also teased a return to Germany and Europe later this year, prompting a huge reaction from the crowd.

“We always have such a blast with you all – what do you say we do this again? Maybe in November this year? What do you think about that?”

The career-spanning performance once again cemented Papa Roach’s long-standing reputation as one of the most dynamic live bands in the rock scene. The band continues to push boundaries both on and off the stage, consistently delivering a captivating set packed with fan favourites and explosive energy from beginning to end.
