Paul Kalkbrenner samples Jefferson Airplane with single ‘Feed Your Head’

Paul Kalkbrenner was afforded the opportunity on his new album 7 to explore the master vaults of Sony and Columbia and choose a few records to sample. One of the songs he decided to do was Jefferson Airplane’s psychedelic single, “White Rabbit.” Taking the vocals from the iconic counter-culture hit, Kalkbrenner works a brilliant instrumental underneath. Titled “Feed Your Head,” the track stays true to the Berlin legend’s venerated minimalist history, utilizing a stripped-back drum kit and an uplifting string arrangement for a truly celebratory production.
