Peaches releases No Lube So Rude

Today, the iconic musician, producer, director, and performance artist, Peaches releases the title track from her forthcoming album, “No Lube So Rude” alongside a music video directed by Matt Lambert and produced in collaboration with award-winning indie erotic filmmaker Erika Lust who creates sex-positive adult cinema grown from a desire to transform the adult film industry . It is choreographed by Constanza Macras, the choreographer behind the stand-out moments of films such as Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things and The Favourite.

The music video is a story of the lube protectors who fend off a fascist attack on their encampment starring Peaches alongside performers and icons from the Berlin underground. Inspired by Derek Jarman’s Jubilee, early John Waters, Tank Girl and Wilhelm Reich’s writing on sexual revolution, the video asserts sexual repression as a root of facism and orgasm as the antidote. Produced in collaboration with Erika Lust, the film extends its resistance to repression not just in theme but in form, insisting on explicit pleasure as a political act. It was filmed on location at the Queer Wagen Collective Marzipan on the outskirts of Berlin. Peaches says of the song and music video, “When the world is friction, lube isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. It’s how you turn that friction into pleasure, into power, into pride. I want people to understand that they can still have a voice no matter who they are or what the world says about them.”

Director Matt Lambert says, “The last few years have been defined by tension — seeing ourselves divided further and further. We’ve been watching the rise of fascism in the far right, which includes censorship of our language, our bodies, our expression, our existence. A lot of us have been full of anger, paralyzed by it at times. However, in Berlin, there’s been something magical brewing within the queer punk underground led by performers and artists like BLEACH (and their partner Nancy), Mad Kate, Pappy Pistola, Valerian Steel and so many others. This video is a brief antidote to the rage – harnessing the power of our sexual joy as a momentary collective breath – a deep inhale to power us into the abyss.”

No Lube So Rude will be released on February 20, 2026 via Kill Rock Stars and has already earned nods from the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan and more as one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. A brash, unapologetic blend of electronic, dance, punk, industrial, and pop music, the 11 new songs exist at the intersection of the personal and the political, where the body serves not only as a sexual and spiritual vessel, but also as the front line in a battle for basic human rights. The result, recorded with producer The Squirt Deluxe in Berlin, is a deliberately provocative exploration of identity, sexuality, and bodily autonomy from a feminist trailblazer, a singular work of emotional and sonic alchemy that balances the poetic and the profane in equal measure as it transforms all the friction and frustration of modern life into joy and transcendence.

“No Lube So Rude” follows the recent releases of singles “Not In Your Mouth None of Your Business” - an “energizing rallying chant for bodily autonomy in the form of a pounding punk dance anthem” (Stereogum), which received a floor-burner remix from Boys Noize and “Fuck Your Face”, a chanting, pulsating banger of pleasure seeking that Vice proclaimed “showcase[s] what Peaches has long been best at: subverting expectations to balance the poetic and the perverted on an endless knife’s edge."

On the album’s release day, Peaches will set out on an extensive 27-date North American No Lube So Rude Tour followed by an EU/UK run in April. The North American tour will feature support from Model/Actriz, Cortisa Star, and Pixel Grip. Peaches has partnered with PLUS1 so that 1 from every ticket sold on the North American tour goes to support the Trans Justice Funding Project and their work funding trans-led grassroots organizations in the US and US Territories who exist to serve and improve the lives of their local and national trans, gender non conforming and non-binary communities.
