Oxford based outfit PETSEMATARY are pleased to announce their upcoming single, Get Away With It, out on May 29th via Beth Shalom Records. Already featured in the April issue of Flying Vinyl, Get Away With It is set to be the first in a series of singles from the dark-pop project.

Commenting on the upcoming single, the band say: "The song is about mental health and how it affects the people around you, friends, family, partners. It’s about feeling shame and worrying about how your mental health affects others, and trying to find a balance of self acceptance of who you are whilst also taking into account that it might hurt others along the way. It’s inspired by my close friends and family especially, and how we’ve learnt that it’s alright to feel a little messed up."

Beginning as the solo-project of songwriter Gaby-Elise Monaghan, PETSEMATARY has since expanded into a four-piece, with longtime collaborators Luke Allmond, Jack Kendrew and Casper Miles finalising the line up. Releasing the Debut solo EP, Vol. I, in late 2018 PETSEMATARY have gone on to play slots as part of Ritual Union Festival, Big Scary Monsters’ Big Day Out and Rock Against Violence, as well as support slots with artists such as GHUM and Soeur. Taking influence from artists such as Elliott Smith, Sparklehorse and Jeff Buckley, PETSEMATARY combine ethereal vocals with dreamy and distorted soundscapes.
