Plain Mister Smith released his new single, ‘Dream Gigantic’

The ever-elusive Plain Mister Smith released his new single, ‘Dream Gigantic’ on 26 June 2026 via Amelia and Symphonic Records. ‘Dream Gigantic’ arrives ahead of the artist’s sophomore album, Bric-a-Brac attack, releasing later this summer. Formerly the guitarist of the Canadian darkwave band Moev, the multi-hyphenate Plain Mister Smith is also a cellist for the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the Plain Mister Smith moniker, his music has received support from a range of tastemaker publications and radio stations, including NPR Music, 1883 Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, CLASH Magazine, NOTION, Under The Radar, Earmilk, METAL, Noctis Mag, Atwood Mag and more.

Born from Plain Mister Smith’s lifelong infatuation with Paris, ‘Dream Gigantic’ is a cinematic ode to the French capital. Inspired by a post-Olympic visit to the city’s quiet, sun-drenched streets, the track is a layered exploration of romantic possibility and longing. An upbeat acoustic drum section is beautifully paired with lush keyboards and a groovy bass line. Enlisting the collaborative prowess of Findlay Brown and Krystle Dos Santos, the track features a dual-vocal dynamic steeped in rich narrative. Brown brings his signature Americana-folk sensibilities, while JUNO Award-winner Dos Santos weaves in a soulful jazz-infused R&B texture, creating a poignant and cinematically layered artistic synergy. ‘Dream Gigantic’ is sure to ensnare fans of The Beatles, Leisure, and Tame Impala.
