Player Dave Debuts on HARD Recs With Two-Tracker EP “Paradise”

San Diego-based Player Dave makes his debut on HARD Recs to release his new two-track 'Paradise,' an EP that blends ambient soundscapes with dancefloor functionality.

Player Dave spent his youth toiling away learning the violin, cello, drums and various other instruments. For the past decade, the producer has poured his heart into electronic music which, as of late, is defined by a more restrained, club-inspired charm and a curiosity for introspection.

The title track "Paradise" is a transportive slice of electronica fusing UKG and IDM influences to stir up emotions despite its overarching club format. Built around a shuffling drum rhythm, the dreamy house cut pairs textured percussion, granular pads, warm synths, and airy arpeggios with processed vocal hooks about a love that feels like heaven.

Serving as the project's second cut, "s8cred" echoes the title track by delivering a compelling mixture of experimental electronica and UKG elements. Driven by a foundation of shuffling percussion paired with spacious synths, the exhilarating cut provides a highly energetic rhythm and groovy sensation, ensuring the track is well-suited for any setting.

Player Dave is the brains behind the burgeoning record label and party series Daisy Chain, which houses his catalog alongside collabs with like-minded innovators such as Elohim, FLY, Next to Blue, Mirror Maze, canary yellow. He's also released music with heavier artists such as FLY, sumthin sumthin, Of The Trees, Lab Group, snuffy, a testament to his artistic range. He has upcoming headline shows at Club Vinyl, Smoke & Mirrors, and Nu Androids, and is performing at Shambhala festival, following past appearances at EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, iii Points, Lightning in a Bottle, and Hulaween.

“Another attempt at blending the ambient dreamscapes I hear in my head with some functional club drums.” - Player Dave
