Porches shares new single “Back3School”

On Friday, Aaron Maine aka Porches will release his fifth album, the exuberant and audacious All Day Gentle Hold !. As a final peek at what’s to come, today Maine has shared album track “Back3School” - an ecstatic, spun-out joyride that swirls with careening synths and a pummeling kickdrum that drives the song to a crashing conclusion. “I got a little sun on my vacation / I'm not in a rush I got patience / I don’t know what it does but I'm taking some / I'm going back to school.”

Maine on “Back3School”: “This song is a mystery to me, impending doom mixed with total bliss. The ‘back to school’ trope, but with an underlying anxiety that something might be terribly wrong, or maybe everything is just fine.”
