Prince Daddy & The Hyena Present "Curly Q" | New Album Coming In 2022 From Pure Noise Records

A lot has happened since Albany, NY's Prince Daddy & The Hyena released their last album, 2019's "Cosmic Thrill Seekers", including a damn-near existential crisis for vocalist Kory Gregory (he/him). But instead of letting the time in 2020's forced isolation simply pass by, he put the time spent in forced isolation to work. He used the last year to drastically progress his musicianship through virtual vocal lessons, music theory classes, production classes, piano classes, and more.

Today, Prince Daddy & The Hyena share a brand new song called "Curly Q", which will be featured on a forthcoming new album out next year from their new label, Pure Noise Records. The slow-burn tune actually debuted yesterday as a surprise during the band's performance on The BrooklynVegan Show on Vans Ch. 66––it's the first new song they've released since CTS.

Written about the involuntary fear that comes with watching his young nephew grow and develop over these last few grim years, "Curly Q" shows off all the hard work Kory put into his craft––especially notable in his voice and approach to song structure. This surely isn't the Prince Daddy & The Hyena you knew just a couple of years ago. It's better.
