Queen's Pleasure releases single from upcoming record and is going on tour

The Amsterdam indie rock band Queen’s Pleasure has released their new single The Drop today. The track is the last preview of the upcoming album Stunt Double, which will be released on January 9. Stunt Double will be available digitally, and on CD and vinyl. You can place a pre-order here.

Stunt Double marks a clear new step for Queen’s Pleasure. The band dug deeper than ever into their own identity: who they were, and who they want to be. Together with producer Dylan van Dael (including Joost, Naaz, Lucio101) they took full creative control, resulting in a record that sounds bold, personal and rich in contrasts.

With The Drop (here on Spotify), the band builds on the emotional weight of earlier single Eva and the energy of The Club, while once again showing a fresh side of their sound. The song captures the aftertaste of something that was everything for a moment, and then disappeared – an ode to moments you have to cherish because they will not return. Frontman Jurre Otto says about it:

“She was the beauty, the catalyst and the downfall. While the narrator seems to crumble.

For everyone who ever felt something special slipping away.”

To celebrate the release of their record, the band will play their biggest headline show so far; in Paradiso Tolhuistuin. They will follow this up in February and March with a club tour across the Netherlands.
