Rauw Alejandro releases "Buenos Términos"
Latin GRAMMY Award-winner and four-time GRAMMY nominee Rauw Alejandro continues his musical momentum with the release of his new Afro-Caribbean-inspired single and video, “Buenos Términos,” taken from his highly anticipated upcoming album. The song explores a steamy, tumultuous relationship that ends on “good terms,” capturing the emotional tension through both sound and visuals. Directed by Martin Seipel and El Zorro, the cinematic video opens with Rauw on a rooftop during a storm and cuts between intimate scenes with a lover and dynamic dance sequences, showcasing his skills as a singer, actor, and dancer. Rauw first teased the track in a 37-second preview on his newly launched WhatsApp Channel, calling it “a little toxic,” sparking excitement among fans.
“Buenos Términos” follows the success of “Carita Linda,” a neo-bomba tribute to his Puerto Rican roots that topped the Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts. This marks the first single from his upcoming album, the follow-up to Cosa Nuestra, which debuted at #1 on the Latin Albums chart and broke records by placing 15 tracks on the Spotify Global Top 200. Rolling Stone has hailed him as “Latin music’s greatest showman,” and his global influence continues to grow. His Cosa Nuestra World Tour sold out across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Europe, with fans dressing on theme in pinstripe suits and elegant gowns. The tour earned praise from outlets like Billboard and Clash, and anticipation is building for the Latin American leg.
