Ray Dalton releases "The Best Is Yet To Come"

The impressive series of highlights in RAY DALTON’s career began with the Billboard No.1 smash “Can‘t Hold Us.” In addition to two Grammy nominations, the collaboration with rap star Macklemore earned him multiplatinum and two MTV Awards – and he’s been tipped for success ever since. Ray’s latest hit, “Manila,” feat. Spanish-German gold and platinum artist Alvaro Soler ran hot on German radio in the fall, peaked at #8 on Apple Music, made it to the Top 25 on Spotify Germany, secured the #1 airplay spot in Switzerland and Austria, and announced gold in both countries. For me, it’s my job to fill the lives of others with joy.” It’s easy to believe the thoroughbred musician, considering more than ten years of experience in the award-winning “Total Experience Gospel Choir” and acclaimed shows worldwide – and there is hardly a song emphasizing it better than THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Using the full range of his tremendous voice, RAY DALTON drives the song’s thoroughly positive message: My Mama used to say: ‘Oh son, some days you’ll get it wrong. When every little step feels heavy, you got to carry on – the best is yet to come.’

A warm keyboard groove, a gleamingly bright chorus, and a determined beat boldly looking toward the future create a pop anthem that almost makes us forget the personal story. “My mother was a vessel of love, and it’s because of her firm belief in me that I became a singer and made it to where I am today. The song is a homage but also refers to difficult times when we need other people or just the right song to make it through.”

The single’s recording was also a challenge because the singer actually wasn’t at the top of his game: “I was in Los Angeles and so busy that I felt exhausted and my voice was almost hoarse. I wanted to postpone the recording, but my friends and sound engineers finally convinced me that this kind of vulnerability could be exactly what the very intimate song needed. And I am grateful because, although it wasn’t an easy day for me, I was able to show a facet that gives even myself goosebumps when I listen to it.” It will be exciting to see filmed footage of these extraordinary recordings as part of the single release allowing us to be up close in the studio with RAY DALTON.
