The Nolans are bringing much loved singles back to life this Halloween, with ‘Dressed to Kill’
The Nolans, one of the biggest selling girl groups selling 30 million records, are bringing one of their most intriguing and much loved singles back to life this Halloween, with ‘Dressed to Kill’ set to be rereleased across all major streaming platforms from 29 October 2026.
Originally released in 1983, 2026 marks 43 years since the original release of ‘Dressed to Kill’ a track that has remained a firm favourite among Nolans fans despite its original chart campaign being cut unexpectedly short.
The single was withdrawn from the UK charts following a dispute surrounding a promotional campaign for the record. At the time, Epic Records promoted the single with an offer of a free Nolans poster for fans purchasing the record from a selection of named record shops. Some of these shops were also part of the panel of retailers used to compile the Official UK Singles Chart. The chart compiler subsequently ruled that the promotion breached its rules, resulting in the single being removed from the chart.
Now, more than four decades later, ‘Dressed to Kill’ is being given the opportunity to reach a whole new audience, and its return could not be more fitting than Halloween, with a bonus extended version also dropping in time for the Halloween period.
Anne Nolan says: “Dressed to Kill was such a fun track that was pulled too soon, but we are thrilled to see it get another lease of life now in time for Halloween. It’s wonderful to know that a song we recorded all those years ago can still find a new audience today”.
The re-release comes as The Nolans and their management team continue to look closely at the group's extraordinary musical legacy, with a number of exciting projects currently in development. Coleen Nolan says: “It’s funny to think that a song we recorded over 40 years ago is getting a whole new life in 2026. We’ve always known how much our fans love Dressed to Kill, so to finally have it available to everyone on streaming is really exciting and releasing it at Halloween feels absolutely perfect”.
Maureen Nolan adds: “When we first heard this song was being re-released on all streaming platforms we were thrilled, particularly because it was one of our favourite tracks. There are so many songs from our catalogue that people still love, and it’s exciting to be able to bring this one back".
While details of the wider plans remain firmly under wraps for now, the sisters can reveal that several exciting projects are already being planned for 2027, as they continue to celebrate and introduce The Nolans music and story to both existing fans and a new generation.
With their catalogue continuing to find new audiences through streaming, social media and renewed interest in their remarkable career, the re-release of ‘Dressed to Kill’ marks another chapter in the ongoing story of one of Ireland's most successful musical families.
‘Dressed to Kill’ by The Nolans is available on all major streaming platforms from 29 October 2026.
