Hel’s Throne releases "Northwind Chronicles" (Zoundr)

Founded in 2018, the band combine heavy guitar riffs, orchestral arrangements and dual male/female vocals, building their music around Nordic mythology and epic storytelling. Across nine tracks, Northwind Chronicles moves between atmospheric sections, heavier metal passages and melodic hooks, keeping a strong focus on mood and cinematic arrangements throughout the album.

The record was produced by Jörg Warthmann and Alexander Lysjakow, known for their work with Frei.Wild and Unheilig. Songs such as “Over the Seas”, “Ragnarok” and “Way of the Warrior” were highlighted by the band as key tracks from the release, each presenting different sides of the album, from more dynamic and aggressive moments to darker and more melancholic passages.

Hel’s Throne also place strong emphasis on visual identity and live presentation, drawing inspiration from Nordic legends, nature and the contrast between light and darkness. Their live performances are described by the band as powerful, atmospheric and built around a clear storyline.
