The Sunday Goose releases Where My Heart Lies
The Sunday Goose is a progressive rock band from the Netherlands, originally founded in 2009 by keyboardist Bram van Risp.
Van Risp came into contact with Marc Lamp, drummer of the Dutch indie band Claw Boys Claw and also a big fan of progressive rock music. Together with Lamp's old musical partner Ly (Bitchcock, Dash Dot and Max), they started composing and recording material. Van Risp then invited Hans Gerritse (Nice Beaver, King Eider) to join as guitarist. As a quartet, they composed several songs, most of which were initiated by Ly, whose strong lyrics and melodies formed the basis for the band to create longer and more challenging songs. With a full repertoire of original songs and a strong chemistry, The Sunday Goose took to the stage and performed several times in the Netherlands during 2009.
In 2010, the band began recording their debut album. However, due to personal circumstances and the lengthy production process, the band eventually disbanded, leaving the album 'Where My Heart Lies' unreleased. In 2025, the original members reunited, and in collaboration with the Dutch progressive rock label FREIA Music, the album will finally be released on CD on 9 April 2026.
