Roam: european headline tour starts tomorrow

British pop punks ROAM have announced their first ever European headline tour to celebrate the release of their debut album "Backbone" out via Hopeless Records on 22nd January, 2016 (see below the tour dates).

Alex Costello (lead vocals) elaborated “Mainland Europe has always been a special place for us; every time we visit the shows get better and better and the growing support across the continent has been exceptional to watch. It's amazing to see how music doesn't really have a language barrier and that people who may not be able to speak English well still sing along and get involved. To be starting off our album release campaign in Europe is going to be a tour to remember. We will be playing several new songs... And these places deserve to hear it.”

ROAM have now revealed a second song "Hopeless Case" from "Backbone" along with accompanying music video, which they shot in Las Vegas and surrounding areas during their US co-headline tour with Handguns.

Alex Adam (Guitar/Vocals) explains the clip: “The idea behind the Hopeless Case video was really a play on the chorus lyrics “You lose this time” - we thought it’d be fun to shoot a backroom style poker game and incorporate footage from Vegas and the surrounding desert. The song is really about false pretenses. Once we’d decided on our characters we went all out on the costumes and just had fun with it. The desert scenes were actually shot in a place called Fire Valley national park on top of a natural arch which was definitely a highlight.”

"Backbone" follows ROAM’s "Viewpoint" EP which was released earlier in 2015. The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Drew Lawson at Steel City Studios with additional engineering by Phil Gornell and mastering by Grant Berry. Rian Dawson of All Time Low recorded Matt Wilson’s guest vocal part at his studio in California. The first single to be unveiled from the record was the rabble-rousing "Deadweight".
