Robbing Millions release the video for the last (and funkiest!) single of the album, ‘Have Tea’

Following the release of critically-acclaimed double-album ‘Holidays Inside’ in June, Robbing Millions release the video for the last (and funkiest!) single of the album, ‘Have Tea’. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/XcIXVBk4GpQ

The accompanying video, produced by Playtime Films, is a funny surreal journey through ‘Les Marolles’, Brussels most authentic & old school neighbourhood, in which we see Lucien Fraipont impersonating a human teapot, wandering around with his partner in crime, the mysterious tea seller ‘Monsieur T’.

Lucien: “I had the idea to make a video starring myself and “Messieurs Delmotte”, who is a performer active in public spaces where he loves to practice his disruptive art, provoking little accidents in the public space. I had been spotting him walking around Brussels since my teenage years and always wondered who he was. I also wanted the video to take place in my beloved Brussels neighborhood, les Marolles, and wanted to depict the day of a misfit going through joyful and tragic situations in an economically impacted environment.”

Julien Bechara, the video’s director:

“With this video our aim was to depict the everyday life of a funny figure in a working-class neighbourhood. If not a critic of the uberisation of our society, this video wanted to build a funny tale around people struggling in their everyday lives but with a certain sense of grace and optimism. We wanted this video to touch an aspect of reality, especially after these virtual times we have been through. We chose the Marolles neighbourhood for its unique atmosphere. It might be the only neighbourhood in Brussels where multiculturality and solidarity is a reality.”

Video fun facts:

There isn’t a single professional actor in the video.

A true « door » casting was undertaken to discover the perfect locations throughout “Les Marolles”.

• The journey made by the two characters in the video is the very same one Lucien and Julien made when looking for people to hire for the video across the neighbourhood.

• Mr. Delmotte also works in a mental association with disabled people. Lucien went to one of his exhibitions to offer him the part which he directly accepted.
