Rondé present Run (East & Young Radio Edit)
Rondé was formed in 2014 at the Herman Brood Academy around the singer Rikki Borgelt. Rondé was formed in the spring of 2014 from a school assignment from the Herman Brood Academy. Despite their different backgrounds, from punk to psychedelia and gospel, there was an immediate click between the band members.
In April 2014 the band participated in the “Herman Brood Academy on Tour”, a short tour in famous music venues in the Netherlands. Paradiso took their first appearance in the current occupation.
At the last minute Rondé enrolled to participate in the “Popronde”, in the autumn of 2014. They where surprised, that they where selected. The band, at that time had only “one” demo, 'Run' on the shelf.
In the following months, the group was the supporting program of “Bells Of Youth” and the British singer-songwriter “Nick Mulvey”. In Oktober 2014, Rondé won the “3 FM Serious Talent” show with theirr single 'Run'. That same month, “Run” became “3FM Megahit”. But the fast grow of “Rondé” knew a false start... The singer “Rikki Borgelt” had an operation on her vocal chords in the beginning of 2015. The singer had already been troubles with her voice and to prevent permanent damage, she must go “under the knife”. The expectation was that she could perform again in June 2015...
3FM Serious Talent Award
Rondé won in April 2015 the “3FM Serious Talent Award”. "We can talk about a flying start, and the jury expects more to come! The band from Utrecht scored a bit later a second 3FM Megahit with the new song 'We Are One'. In June “Heineken” picked up the track for their new campaign, but they wanted a different version, so the guys from East & Young made a brand new version, with a fresh flavor!
