Saint Punk and MASTERIA team up for “Dark Side”

Los Angeles-based DJ/Producer Saint Punk (aka Trevor Vesneski) makes a splash debut on Dim Mak via “Dark Side” with MASTERIA. Interweaving airy vocals through grungy bass house production, the producer’s create a forward-thinking, effortlessly catchy track.

Saint Punk and Masteria prove to be an excellent pairing, as “Dark Side” shows off their production skills in the highest form. On how the collab came about, Saint Punk shares; “Masteria and I have known each other for a couple years now, but it was after we played Lost Lands together that we decided to really get a collab going. I've liked his darker vibe which lends itself to my style seamlessly. I had this idea with the vocal that I sent over to him. He took and added all the right moments and pieces that really brought it together to create this fun dance tune that feels modern yet somewhat nostalgic at the same time.”

Vesneski has been working on the evolution of his Saint Punk artist project and the release of “Dark Side” marks the start of a new chapter.

About Saint Punk

Establishing his own place in today’s electronic music scene, Saint Punk exploits his rock background, creating a grittier style of dance music that pushes the boundaries of what house music means to him.

Started in 2019, in Los Angeles, CA, Saint Punk’s backbone and soul of the project took shape after releasing countless bass heavy bootlegs of Rock and Hip Hop songs. From Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails, to Travis Scott and Denzel Curry, his distinctive bootlegs are what catapulted him into his first official release of originals on Confession. From there the gates were open, with releases on Monstercat, STMPD, Armada, Generation HEX, Bite This, Thrive, Big Beat, Atlantic, and even his own imprint Graffiti Records. Saint Punk’s remix chops did not go unnoticed, being tapped by the likes of Grandson, Whethan, Boombox Cartel, Ray Volpe, Cesqeaux, Ookay, Matroda, Tokyo Machine, 3LAU, Öwnboss, and more, for his unique take and perspective on their originals.

It’s one of his originals though that made him a household name. His song “Empty Bed” has become somewhat of an anthem in the online GTA streaming community, racking up over 14 million streams and counting. He followed that up by releasing a full length album filled with collaborations from MXMS, Holy Wars, Yung Tory, and more on Armada. Using that momentum into 2022, he pushed forward continuing to release an array of singles, remixes, and performed at festivals, clubs, and radio shows around the country.

About Masteria

Armed with a signature sound that leans towards the darker side of house music, MASTERIA has carved a brazen path for himself in the world of electronic music. The Detroit-based producer uses his music as a portal to “escape reality” with his listeners, leading them into a sinister world full of gritty bass lines and ominous synths.

His signature sound has earned him support from some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Tiesto, Diplo, Afrojack, Jauz, Marshmello, and AC Slater. He’s also shared the stage with major acts such as Martin Garrix, Tchami, Malaa, and GRiZ. With recent releases on dance labels including Musical Freedom, mau5trap, Insomniac Records, and Confession, it is clear MASTERIA shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
