'Samsara', an ode to every rebirth -The new single by Miriam Fornari

'Samsara' is Miriam Fornari's debut single, a prayer of freedom in unequal times with which to indulge in change.

The song was born during the first months of Erasmus at the Birmingham Conservatoire, a new beginning for Miriam who, far from home, could have felt anxiety or disorientation, and instead felt overwhelmed by a strong sense of euphoria at the newness and possibilities. It was an enlightening experience, a kind of epiphany with which for the first time she discovered previously hidden sides of herself.

A new life to find one's own new identity, an endless cycle of transformations in the transition between different lives like the 'Samsara', theorised by Buddhism and Hinduism. This Sanskrit term, a key concept in Indian religions and philosophies, refers to the succession of continuous rebirths as opposed to the exit from this cycle or Nirvana.

The punctuated, soulful incipit, the initial hesitancy in the face of the new, gives way to a dreamy prog rock-flavoured crescendo that unleashes full and profound self-acceptance. An invitation with which to take the listener by the hand and urge him to accept and search for his own identity as something fluid and changeable in a reckoning that takes into account every new experience of who we are.

"Samsara" is the first single extracted from "MORA", Miriam Fornari's first solo album, a work that focuses on the special relationship between real life and dream life, on how experiences lived in dreams are no less meaningful than those lived in waking life.
